In 1998, The Live Group, our parent company, embarked on a journey to transform the South African music scene. At that time, we observed a common struggle among aspiring artists – they yearned for the spotlight but often found themselves locked out of the industry’s doors. Even those who managed to secure gigs faced the daunting challenge of sustaining their careers in a fiercely competitive landscape. Regrettably, many talented young performers were forced to abandon their dreams due to a lack of the support necessary to propel their careers forward.

Recognizing the potential to make a meaningful impact, we established RISE Academy in 2015. Conceived by Sue and Craig Green, RISE Academy was founded with a singular mission: to nurture raw talent and mould it into marketable, industry-ready performers. Our innovative programs, combined with expert training and personalized mentoring, have yielded remarkable results. Numerous RISE Academy graduates have successfully secured coveted spots at major events, including prestigious gatherings such as Ultra, Fill Up FNB, and Joburg Pride.
